• When was the permit issued? Is it prior to any date indicated on logging and transport documents?
• Is the document signed by the Minister in charge of forestry?
• Which forest are concerned by the harvesting permit? Which annual area (“assiette" annuelle de coupe”) is concerned?
• Which species are indicated on the harvest permit?
• Are allowed volumes aligned with volumes actually logged (see harvesting logbook, transport documents, periodic volumes declarations)?

Purpose and content of document:
The harvesting permit is mandatory before any logging activity is carried out. It details the number and volumes of trees authorized for harvesting, for each forest species. Its validity is one year.
