Purpose and content of document:
A major prerequisite for export of log is the issuance of a pre-shipment certificate from The Federal Ministry of Environment located at the Exit points. This is given after the pre-shipment inspection has been carried out. The contents of the pre-shipment certificate include Certificate number, Date of issuance, Container number (s), Contents of the container, Source/ State, Destination, Wood species/ Details, Shipping company, Exporter’s name and address, Forwarding agent’s name and address and the Issuing Officer’s Name and Signature.
