Purpose and content of document:
The environmental certificate is the notification of validation of environmental and social impact assessment by the competent authorities. The environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) must be done before forest management activities are conducted.

Evidence limitations and weaknesses:
The certificate does not guarantee that mitigation measures to reduce negative environmental impacts are being implemented on the field.
